Why Crime Scene Cleanup Companies are important

July 16, 2016

Crime Scene Cleanup services are needed in every area that has a population of humans. Homicides, suicides, residential accidents, industrial accidents, unattended deaths (decomposition, “decomps”) and hoarders are not going anywhere. These happen every day, so as long as people are still living, we need crime scene cleanup companies to PROPERLY remove bloodborne pathogens and any kind of potential infectious diseases. Crime and trauma scenes are extremely dangerous to everyone’s health that is in direct contact with the scene. These pathogens include, but are not limited to, hepatitis B (HBV), hepatitis C (HCV) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Hepatitis can survive in a deceased person up to 16 days after death, depending on temperature and surrounding environment. HIV may survive in blood, at room temperature, for up to 5-6 days, provided that the optimum PH level is maintained. So every city is in need of a trained crime scene cleanup crew readily accessible for families, business, law enforcement and anyone that is in great danger of potential bloodborne pathogens.

Just because our company is labelled as a crime scene cleanup company doesn’t mean we just clean crime scenes. We cleanup any area that has to do with bodily fluids and blood. Do you want to wait for a family member, friend or a church to come in and clean your house after 2 weeks? No, you want to have a professional come in and do the specialty cleaning right the first time, so do not try to clean it up on your own. The cleanup also causes more trauma for the family then what it is worth. Most people do not pay attention to detail like blood being inside the walls, which will eventually cause a stench that no one wants in their house. Blood is a liquid so that means it will spread like water through the house until it has nowhere to go. Bodily fluids also absorb into wood which is the majority of each structure throughout the United States. So do you really want to do this all on your own, I doubt it.

Home owner’s insurance covers most of our services. To take stress and trauma off of the family we will contact the insurance company for you and deal with them directly so you do not have to worry about it. Home owner’s insurance will also cover suicides due to the damage to the structure, unless it is stated that suicide is exempt from the policy, which is usually not the case. Insurance covers the structure of a building and we all know that suicides have the potential to cause damage to the structure and anything close to the incident.

Please do not try to clean this up on your own, my wife and I are trained in everything that is needed to do this specialty cleaning and we take pride in what we do so we can stop the spread of infectious diseases. So please call the experts of Spotless Crime Clean to decontaminate the infected areas back to the original state, which is disease free and take away the visual aspect of a traumatic scene. No one wants to see or smell the aftermath of a traumatic event.
